National Recognitions
- Mr. James Secretan and Ms. Jennifer Jackson, were awarded 2005 NSF Graduate Fellowships.
- Cassandra Long was awarded a prestigious National Security Education Program (NSEP) David L. Boren Scholarship to study abroad in China during AY 2005-06.
- Stacey Repass received a James Madison Fellowship.
- Sohang Gandhi received a Goldwater Scholarship.
- Andrea Wesser was named to the USA Today All Academic Team.
- Norma Toussaint was accepted into the Rangel Summer Enrichment Program at Howard University.
- Two Students, Justin Miller and Lauren Schommer received Honors Summer Internships from the Drug Enforcement Agency.
State Recognitions
- Annie Howe was named a finalist for the 2005 "Student of the Year Award" by Florida Leader Magazine.
Local Recognitions
- Eighteen students selected for this year's President's Leadership Council are Honors students. The President's Leadership Council chose a total of 34 students this year to represent the University through public relations, leadership, and administration.
- Twelve honors freshman and sophomores were recognized as 2005 President's Scholars. This scholarship will cover all expenses for these students to study abroad Scholarship at Cambridge University in Summer 2005.
- The following 15 Honors Students were recognized during 2005 Leadership Week

- Honors Congress received six awards in this year's Homecoming competitions, including First Place Overall for small student organizations. Other awards won in the category of small organizations included:
* First Place in Black and Gold sign
* First Place in Philanthropy
* Spirit Cup
* Second Place in the Parade
* Third Place in Skit Knight
- Honors Congress also received second place overall in the can competition.

Winner: Colin Moore -- Opposing Conceptions of Freedom In America: A Historical and Contemporary Investigation
Runner Up: Christopher Cusano -- Iran: Islam and Political Participation
- Jennifer Hartzler was recognized as 2005 Miss UCF
- Evelyn Tonn was recognized as 2005 Miss St. Petersburg
- Stephanie Bronson- Was awarded a fellowship from the American Cancer Society to continue research throughout the summer.
- Eric Risser- Won Boeing Engineering/Computer Science scholarship 2004-05 and 2005-06.
- Rachel Russo- Published in the National Journal of Forensic Science and I am sponsored by YMCA Go Global to spend a year in Peru doing various service projects across the country.
- Courtney Sutton - Won 1st place Knight Image Award for hard news story in Journalism and 3rd place for feature photo. Currently doing a photography/journalism internship in southeast Asia.
